All of the girls in my family participated in the Waldo Waldo 5k walk/run fundraising event for Colorado Springs, CO this year. My grandma registered us for the event and the 6 of us walked/jogged the 3.2 miles around America the Beautiful Park. Grandma Tami, Aunt Kirsten, Nona Cherri, Aunt Jessica, Momma and me! It was a beautiful day in late October, as we all dressed up in Where's Waldo costumes and gathered in the park for a huge group picture. Then, it was time to "race". I was filled with so much excitement, that I burned through my energy before we even started the race, so Mama pushed my in my jogging stroller, as her and the other girls jogged the 5k. I enjoyed my little snooze, then we went out for lunch afterwords. What a fun day. I can't wait for next year, when I can run in it myself!
XOXO,

Mission
We bring people together for a super fun, one-of-a-kind, Colorado Springs event that raises money for local community needs, especially supporting natural disaster relief and fire recovery efforts, outdoor activities, and trails and open space maintenance in Colorado Springs and the surrounding community. The run was first set up in 2012 as a response to the Waldo Canyon Fire. In just the first two years, we've had thousands of participants dressed as Waldo or Wenda, and raised over $75,000 for local nonprofits.
